We'll visit DHS on our last day. I believe we will have counter service meal credits and maybe a few snack credits (?) remaining. Got any advice on how to use them?

We plan to be there for breakfast and lunch. None of the options are standing out to me.

What's yummy there?

We'll be staying at YC for the first time and I am not familiar with ANY dining there - perhaps we need to eat in our resort area instead.

I welcome any advice.

We weren't too thrilled with the cs options at DHS. We had breakfast at Starring Rolls which was really good, muffins, croissants, coffee, etc. We were going to do a half a day at DHS but we had to change our plans and stay because we had fastpasses for TSM later in the day. We went back to Starring Rolls for lunch and had the turkery foccacia sandwiches, they were really, really good. Something different from burgers, fries or pizza.

The sandwiches at Starring Rolls are so good and are very filling. You'll need to get there early because they run out fast. I forget when they start serving them, but I think it's about 11:30ish?

The Italian sandwich (ham, turkey, swiss & provolone on deli roll w/ seasoned tomatoes & Caesar dressing) & pizza were good at Catalina Eddie's. It is located in the "complex" with Rosie's All-American & a turkey leg place. Incidentally, the same sandwich is served in AK at Pizzafari.

I think the only CS breakfast in DHS is Starring Rolls - no? CS in DHS could really use some improvement in my opinion. I wouldn't step foot inside Toy Story Pizza Planet again, we absolutely hated it & didn't even finish our pizza or salad! Although the Fish & Chips I had at ABC Commissary were absolutely delicious! DH wasn't crazy about the double cheeseburger there though.

There's always the Boardwalk Bakery within walking distance from YC, but they offer pretty much the same as Starring Rolls, so not worth walking out of your way for if you ask me. The Dolphin has Picabu - a 24-hour quick service restaraunt - right next door to YC - we've always enjoyed their breakfast (and they offer 20% discount if you show your AAA card).

I believe that Fairfax Faire has better choices now - ribs, chicken, fries so that could be a better option than it was previously.

We also are okay with Backlot Express, but usually just for burgers. We've tried some other things and they are not as good.

We always get a frozen lemonade at DHS. It's a small location on the street heading towards TOT. Very yummy use of a snack credit!

Catch one of those lizards, fry it on the pavement and enjoy! :lmao:

DHS is a no go for any CS for us, we have tried all the options and to say they are horrible is a understatement. If we don't do TS we will just wait to get back to the resort and hit the food court or run over to Epcot and get some Fish and Chips (closest CS to Intl Gateway Entrance).

Starring Rolls is the best counter service in DHS! i offer these as proof:

auntread, Great pics!! Everything looks so nice and fresh!

Is that the chocolate peanut butter cupcake I see??
What is the other cupcake (the one that looks like it has white chocolate shavings), and how did you like them?
:)

In short, nothing. DHS is horrible when it comes to CS. The best would be Starring Rolls which is average. The worst would be ABC Commissary which is absolutely horrendous.

As for the YC, it is a great resort, I've stayed there and loved it. However, there are not a lot of cs dining options here. I took the boat over to Epcot and ate there for my cs our last visit. It did take a little time but was worth it. If you must eat at DHS then Starrin Rolls would be my choice. As for ABC, I'd prefer a slow and long torturous death instead, it would be less painful. :rotfl2:

Thanks for letting me know. I'll have to add that white chocolate one to my list of snacks for this trip! :goodvibes

We really enjoyed Min and Bill's Dockside. They have Italian sausage with peppers/onions/mustard completely enclosed in an Italian bread roll. They also offer a pretzel dog...hot dog and mustard in a pretzel roll. They were both really hot and really good. The milkshakes here are also delicious! Very thick...almost need a spoon.

We always eat at Toy Story Pizza! We enjoy it! Nothing else there really looks that good!:confused3
