50s and Hollywood and Vine are connected and share a Kitchen (and rest rooms). I don't really think of them as "tucked away" because they are right in the center of the park.

Rather than rehashing things - I pretty much agree with @lockedoutlogic on his assessment of the food at DHS. The Counter Service has actually improved in the last 5 years - we ate at ABC Commisary last trip because we had heard this and it was decent food which is a first for that place. It's still the worst of the 4 parks. (Would rank Epcot, DAK, MK, DHS for both CS and TS.)
Not necessarily tucked but the path it's on isn't necessarily one I frequent often. It's in the center of the park but on an odd path

Agree with a PP about ABC commissary. Had a terrible meal there going on 7-8 years ago but went recently and lots of improvement. My former experience wasn't helped by the fact it was in the middle of the lunch rush. I'm hoping for a lot of eating improvements in the park as while I wouldn't say the options are awful (sans pizza planet) there's definitely a lot of room for improvement

I almost ranked MK below DHS - but I think the TS at MK is better quality overall, and while there is some bad CS at MK, there are a few good ones too, enough to get by anyways.
See o disagree. MK has some underwhelming CS options but I feel like there's some decent ones in Peco Bills and Cosmic Rays has a decent set up. All opinion but will agree the MK TS are far better than the Studios

The outside lounge with the umbrella tables is one of my favorite spots to sit down outside, eat, and just relax in the shade. It is a great place to people watch because it is slightly lower than ground level. Couple that with the menu (which is excellent) and that spot is a can't miss. The outside bar itself was recently plussed up a bit.

It's a hidden "gem"...

You know what that means? It will be sniffed out and eliminate by a dwarf sooner than we think.

I saw that they have a "grapefruit cake martini" now?

My two favorite things...now mash up some green goddess salad and rare tuna in there...so I can tell myself it's "healthy"

Maybe you misunderstand me - I think we are actually agreeing for the most part - Pecos Bill's is good (though they have a new menu so IDK) we've always enjoyed Cosmic Rays even though it is somewhat generic fast food. Columbia Harbor House is a hidden gem that seems to be less and less secret every trip, but the food quality is top notch. The waffle sandwiches at Sleepy Hollow also rock, and Be Our Guests lunch menu is excellent and still considered a CS. Even Pinocchio Village Haus is decent, though it used to be better.

Apologize as I am getting way off the topic here...so...construction in DHS. Has anything actually STARTED?

Oh no...no agreement there...

Tony's - usually awful
Liberty tree - lunch good, dinner really bad
Cinderella's - pretty bad
Crystal palace - average to good
Plaza - used to be ALOT better
Be our guest - just average...complete nutroll overhyped.

Between brown derby, prime time, sci fi and some of mama Melrose...more solid...even with hollywood and vine

1. Agree with Tony's
2. Never been but Thanksgiving food isn't my thing anyways
3.. Never been but it wouldn't surprise me if it's over hyped
4. Like crystal palace for breakfast (actually think its really good) but I'm honestly not crazy about buffets for dinner
5. I like Plaza but can't judge on its past. I've had some really nice meals there but couldn't tell you how it used to be
6. Really like it but I know your opinion here

HS has some ok TS (never been to brown derby but it has a great rep) but truthfully thinks it needs work. All opinion tho

As far as keeping old names on maps (particularly for things that never came to be), anything is possible so I would never say no ............ as always everything here is just opinion until proven otherwise ........ but it would not be consistent with Disney permitting of their survey maps. When a building, attraction etc changes names so does the mapping. The exception here could be that this is for the whole building .... the exterior.

I have read every notice of commencement (what people on the boards usually call a permit) Disney has submitted over the last couple years and I can tell you that old names are quite common.

Here is a piece of a map from a NOC from 2015 that still shows Timekeeper..

Capture.JPG

and one from 2014 that still uses the name "Living Seas"

Capture2.JPG

maps from DHS often list Rock-n-Roller coaster as "future".

Went to liberty tree this year. My group absolutely loved it. Every friend I have talked to eat there also raves about it. I had no issues with Tony's. Enjoyed that meal

And many are changed as the use is changed. If Disney is anything, they are inconsistent, and maybe that is with purpose. Their way of keeping public filings/maps more guarded. Names on maps can mean something, they can mean nothing.

All we have here on this site is armchair imagineering, and while lots of fun to interpret what they are doing, it is conjecture. Even the "in the know folks" are often giving wrong info. As always nothing is fact until it is in 3D, open and operating.

Who knows with today's announcement with LMA and parts of Streets of America closing in a few months, maybe that means Muppets is all going away and it will be a Stars Wars Cantina ........ that's how rumors start.
