The only place I'd consider for breakfast at DHS would be Starring Rolls...croissants, pastries, fabulous outdoor seating to people-watch, inexpensive compared to sit-down locations.
Cost isn't a factor- we're on the DxDDP. Just got a new wrinkle- one of my days they're opening the park at 8, so we'll definitely scrap Sci-Fi for that day. Um... maybe we'll just snack, or hit the food court at POR.
I would recommend considering Cape May for breakfast at the Beach Club on the Boardwalk. It is a decent character buffet with Minnie, Donald and Goofy and is only a short walk or quick boat ride to DHS. I personally try to eat as little as possible in DHS whether it is a QS or a TS restaurant.
Cape May might be a good solution for that one breakfast. Or, if you don't want another character meal, Trattoria Al Forno at the Boardwalk serves breakfast, too.
Captain's Grille at YC has a buffet (plus menu) without characters, if that's appealing. I haven't been there since 2012 but really enjoyed the buffet.
