DH's best friend was killed

Oh no, I'm so sorry. DH's best friend and best man at our wedding was killed about 8 years ago, along with his wife and 2 DDs, and it was really tough on DH. Give your DH some extra TLC, he'll need it.

This friend was in our wedding, too. It is awful. We are close to his whole family. His parents are the most loving, welcoming people. They treat DH just like one of their own kids, which has been nice since DH's parents passed away before our DS9 was born. The son they lost was their firstborn.
His own DD was born just after he graduated from high school, and it has just been in the past few years that they have really gotten close. She is a freshman in college.

DH talked to his friend's sister earlier and she gave him the info for the services. The visitation is tomorrow, Rosary on Sunday and funeral on Monday. It is going to be a sad weekend.

It is incredibly lucky that this is DH's weekend off. He will take off work early on Monday for the funeral. The truly frightening thing for me is that DH goes to work every morning about 2 AM. I am always terrified that someone will crash into him. Now someone we know has had a fatal accident about that time of the morning.
