We have an 8am breakfast at hollywood and vine, when the park opens at 9am. We eat pretty quick; with 3 small children sitting inone place too long is headache inducing. So, I figure, if everything goes well, we will be out by 8:45 or so; can we walk over to TSM at that point or is that area roped off?

You must join the rest of the guests arriving from the gates awaiting the Rope Drop.

It's usually roped off.

It'll be roped off. You'll be caught with everyone else at the opening show area and then different CMs will "guide" people to TSM, RnR/TOT, and Star Tours.
