Hi
I looked up (and of course can't find the list now) the DHS after hours event. The list is really small. It didn't have Rise, Millennium Falcon nor Minnies Run away Rail way.
Is that accurate

Has any one done it and felt like it was worth it?

Thanks!

Those are all attractions specifically detailed as may be included in the event. Disney can't guarantee they will be all open, for obvious reasons. What if one breaks down?

Anyway, here is the list:

As for if it is "worth it" that is a personal choice. To me, these events are fun for a short trip or for someone who has visited before and wants to do something a bit unique. Would I tack this on after doing a full theme-park day? No way.

There haven’t been many Disney After Hours events at Disney Studios so it’s hard to get any live reports. They’ve typically been at Magic Kingdom. I‘ve done a few there & enjoyed them a lot. The biggest question is how many tickets Disney will sell. The earliest years of DAH were very low attendance with all walk on rides & empty walkways. By 2019, they increased ticket sales & there were some waits for rides. Last year, they brought them back with Halloween & Christmas themes. There were more crowds than previous DAH events & I was disappointed in that. People who only had a regular park day or a Halloween or Christmas party as comparison were happy with the low waits. People like me who had seen earlier versions were disappointed. There will definitely be less crowds & waits than a regular park day. We won’t know how long waits will be or how high crowds will be until after the first few events happen. While you can get in the park early with your DAH ticket, the 3 hours of the actual event goes quickly. So how long the waits for rides are can really effect your experience. As PP said, worth it really is a personal choice. I would suggest reading real guest reports after they start. I wouldn’t go by vloggers reports the first night either.

We have never done one at DHS, but DH and I did one at MK in late Jan/early Feb, 2020, and it was amazing. The only line worth mentioning was Dwarves, and it dwindled notably to 5-10 min in the last hour. Totally empty walkways around Liberty Square. We’re normally not night people, but we are planning to do this again in Jan. Not taking cost into consideration, I have also done deluxe evening hours a couple of times, and although they’re certainly worth taking advantage of, the first hour of the two-hour event now seems packed with non-deluxe guests who have piled into lines just before closing. Ticketed AH has an hour of buffer built in before starting, so this wasn’t a factor.

Agree with PP on comparisions to the holiday AH events during covid, but I kind of figured those were a “hybrid” AH-party for the specific limitations of the time.

One thing - eat dinner beforehand! All that’s available if memory serves is popcorn and ice cream. (ETA: the description says there are other food items available for purchase, so this may not be accurate)

I think they generally are worth it if the event allows you to purchase a shorter ticket for your vacation. For example, with the Christmas Party at Magic Kingdom you can get in at 4 pm and the party runs 7 to midnight, so you have 3 hours of the normal park and 5 of very low wait times. That to me is a better value than just doing a regular Magic Kingdom day, so I bought a shorter ticket and did the party.

With the Studios party, it looks like you get in at 7 and the party runs until 12:30, giving you 2.5 hours of regular park time and 3 hours of very low waits. You also get ice cream, popcorn, and drinks, which isn't the reason you should do the party but does have some value. Given how low the waits usually are, I think you can skip a Studios day and still get in all the attractions you want to do.

I'm doing the first date in January at DHS and have done MK in the past. It's a nice feeling not having to plan out fastpasses and LLs (since they are not utilized). When I saw the recent price of G+ at $29 per day I immediately thought that it will be nice not having to pay that (though I doubt it will be that high then).
