DH wants to track my pace on his phone???

My SIL said that you can track someones pace on your phone, they did it for the Boston.Anyone know how?

I thought I saw something either here or on the Disneysports site.

Hey Linda!

You can actually sign up on the marathon website under spectator resources for text message updates...although I will caution you that last year these were NOT reliable! They didn't come through right away. My fiance and family at home got maybe the first one or two, and then NOTHING after that. My family at home was panicking that something happened and I stopped. My fiance knew I was OK and had to answer lots of phone calls.

You can sign up for those but warn anyone getting them that they may not come through!

Hopefully they will have all the kinks worked out and it will work perfectly this year. I am going to sign my DH and my sister up for this. My DH will be waiting for me at the Dolphin/Boardwalk and my sister will be at home.

I hope to, but I am still not going to rely on it. I plan on carrying my cell phone with me so I can let my fiance know when I am getting close to where he will be.

I will have my cell phone as well (I always have it with me) In my half marathon in Nov I actually ended up getting 2 calls - 1 from my DH to see how I was doing and 1 from my sister since she was meeting me at the finish line she needed to know where to go. It seems in every long distance race I have done I have been on the phone at one time so I am sure it won't be any difference in the marathon.

In previous years they also had some terminals at the expo to enter phone numbers for texts and email addresses for email updates.
