DH wants formal ideas

My DH is taking a nice suit for our cruise next week. I tried to get him to buy a tux, but to no avail. I am sure he will look radiant!

Can't help much. My DH and DS wore matching tuxes with Mickey bow ties and suspenders.

grew my hair out about 3 years ago and donated it to Locks of Love--once I cut it I have liked it so well I just keep getting it cut. Should grow it out again and donate-it is an easy donation.

My DH wore a new black suit, very plain, very formal. (He says suitable for weddings and state funerals). The kids wore black pants. I made the kids bow ties and vests from cotton and gold lame quilt cuts. Got DH one of those shirts with a golden weave and tropical silk tie in golds. My dress was gold silk. We look great in the formal portrait! Mickey print bow tie and vest and cummerbund? Do you sew? There are nice men's vest, tie and cummerbund patterns, not too hard. Places like Off Fifth Ave. often have reduced formal vests, etc., that would look nice with a plain black suit. (The only real difference with a plain suit and tux is the silk lapel and button cloth.)

Sorry, but I'm not into wearing a tux either.
