Why am I crazy?

Because my trip is still 10 days (give or take) away and I have already started packing. Or at least pre-packing.

I haven't actually put any clothes into a suitcase - but I have all the suitcases out and have packed them with the things I normally forget like extra film, band-aids, batteries, etc...

I have also started planning what we should wear and the dd's and I have been playing dress up with our new disney clothes while watching our planning video for the 100th time. (By the way Walmart has Disney outfits for kids on sale. You should check it out. I got some really cute Minnie cheerleader outfits for $10 each!)

I digress....

I don't think I am crazy - just overly excited!

Has anybody else started pre-packing? or is it just me...

I have made my list, then typed it up so I can make changes easily! I've started to get stuff washed and put away for it... and picking up things we need, as well...

So no, you're not crazy! If I had room to layout suitcases for another week, I'd start chunking stuff in there as I come across it, but our house is too small =)

I always have a bag packed with tolietries and things I would normally forget. I replenish it throughout the year. I have my packing list saved and usually print it out 3-4 months before. We live in NJ, so once the kids stop wearing shorts, tees and bathing suits, I pack the ones that will still fit. I also hit end of season clearance sales if they need extras.

But I admit I am crazy when it comes to all things Disney and it must run in the genes. My DS (just about five) gets the urge to pack for Disney once every couple of months and he knows just what he needs. He's been doing this since he was 2 1/2!!!

Yep my DH thinks I'm crazy too. My order from Disneyonline just came in yesterday, and I hit the disney store and we're sitting here looking at all our stuff.

I bought him a grumpy tshirt cuz he's grumpy.

I just bought the girls their summer clothes, mostly disney, and I know they have to wear them before our trip, but I sure wish we were at the point where we could start packing.

I started packing over our spring break at the end of March and we don't go till June!!! I find packing the toothpaste, sunscreen to be a pain so I started early. I have shirts set out already, etc as well.

I CANNOT WAIT!!

Not at all... your prepared. Better to get things ready now than a late nighter the night before hoping you didn't forget anything. Or buying things in the airport, etc at 5X's the price back home..lol! We just got back from a 8 day cruise last month and I was buying clothes in Jan and packing about 2-3weeks ahead what I could pack (wasn't wearing on a regular basis) and had my bathroom bag and film, etc done way ahead. Tell him to chill... it's Disney, who wouldn't be exicted!!!!

There are people here who never unpack I don't think 10 days in advance is crazy.

I wouldn't call that crazy. I see many people on here that are packing a good 6 weeks out from their trip. I like to wait until there's less than a week left, but packing is a part of the fun for me. I don't want to rush it and have it be over

By the way, have a great time!!

I don't think you are crazy - just excited - but PLEASE take that film out of your suitcase, as it can be ruined by the x-ray machines when it is scanned for security.

Make them hand check it for you.

Just don't want anyone disappointed that they lost precious Disney pictures!!

I ALWAYS prepack! I have a list out for each suitcase at least a week in advance and I'm forever going to CVS for the assorted items that I've forgotten to pack.
I know this trip since it's my first with my son, I'm going to start prepacking about 2 weeks in advance. I have the suitcases open all the time as as I think of things throughout the day, I'll toss it into the suitcase.
I'm a notorious overpacker so ifI get started early, I then have the ability to eliminate some of the "nonessentials" that I've decided I MUST have.

Don't pack disposable cameras in your suitcases, either !! - on the way home I forgot and threw the disposables in my check-through bag - all the pictures on them were ruined ! Thankfully I had hundreds of digital pics that came out great !

Pack early - one less thing to stress about in the final days!!!

I don't think you're crazy. I'm a little less than two weeks away but woke up this morning thinking I'd start doing the same thing you're doing. That way I can get a list together of the things I need to purchase.
