DH was looking through the reports on tripadvisor on the DLP hotels and has decided that a Disney Hotel is actually where he wants to stay! :)

Now, this is DH's 40th birthday trip so, we are looking for something a bit special. He has a complete aversion to sleeping in the same room as DS6 but i have convinced him it will be ok and we just need to try it :thumbsup2 :confused3 :thumbsup2 (yes, men are weird sometimes!!)

So, these are now our options!

Disneyland hotel.. for 3 nights..
Newport Bay Club for 3 nights (possibly upgrade to a suite?)

Any other options that might be worth looking at?

My vote is for the DL Hotel for convenience, but its nearly £400 more than the Newport Bay Club...

Any advice?

We go on 1st November.. for 3 nights..

Thanks so much!

We really liked the Hotel NY. We had booked it for next week but we got upgraded to the Disneyland Hotel for free due to an overbooking problem. We really enjoyed going into the cocktail bar before heading out at night and there was lots of entertainment going on in the hotel foyer as well as a kids play area next to the cocktail bar. God I so wish I was going back there. Damn DLP for overbooking us even though we booked 8 months ago.

As soon as I read your post, I also thought that the Hotel New York might be worth you considering. The rooms are nearly as big as the ones at the Disneyland Hotel, but the price is quite a bit less than there, or a suite at the Newport Bay.

The DLH is a lovely hotel and it is really convenient and we did really like it however I can not honestly say that I liked it that much more than the Hotel New York. I have not stayed at the NPB as the size off it puts me of a bit.

ok.. i bit the bullet and booked the DL Hotel.

My husband actually has to work for a few hours on the Friday of our stay and will need to keep going back to the hotel - so I thought it would be easier for him if the hotel is at the front of the park.

Hope Ive made the right decision!
Its mad.. we have 10 days accomodation, park passes and the dining plan in WDW for double what we have just paid...:)
