We had to *jump ship* to Celebrity next year as the Disney was just crazy expensive for our trip to Alaska. Ended up saving thousands by upgrading to concierge and picking up pre-paid gratuities, drink packege, etc.

Anyway, was musing that the wonder will be returning to San Diego and how we could probably fly from SD to catch the Wonder home and DH agreed! Not only did he agree that it served as return transportation, he requested our beloved Navigator Verandah. I am SOOOO doing the happy dance.

Silly question, I know that on an Alaska cruise you are close enough to see the shore as you are underway. Will it matter which side of the boat we are on heading to SD? Is the ship close enough to see California? If it doesn't matter as both sides will only see water then I'll stick with my usual cabin.

TIA!

Generally, when sailing the CA coast, you'll only see a sliver of a darker line at the horizon (that's the land), maybe a mountain or two. Remember, the ships usually sail 12 miles out.

But the land will be on the port side for a Vancouver/SD repo.
