DH is going to a conference in Orlando in February

I love that so many conferences are in Orlando! Just heard that DD's national dance competition will be in Orlando this year. So excited! She will be primarily dancing but I think I can get a day or two at the IOA for her. We have done Disney the last three trips and she hasn't been to US in about 7 years. Yeah!!

my best friend has a conference the 1 st week in Feb. and I am tagging along. Very happy that the conference is at the GF, which I have never stayed at:worship: I was able to find air fare for US air ranging from 200-250?

My dh has a conference at the Dolphin in March and he wants me to come along but I'm not sure I could be that close to Disney and not do the parks. I know we could get reduced cost tix but we have a huge vacation planned in June and I don't want to spend a ton in March. Dh says come and hang out at the Dolphin pool, go to Downtown Disney, visit the resorts, etc. What do you guys think? Could you go without going to any parks?

Visiting the resorts is alot of fun. It would make for a more relaxing trip I bet.

I think I could if kids weren't involved. I'd also probably try to work in a visit to one of the resort spas while there too.

I'm trying to talk DH into spending one day at Epcot and one day at USO. We have odds-n-ends days left on WDW passes, too, so it wouldn't cost us anything but the food for the day. Just fortunate that way. USO is another matter, tho', as we don't have anything left over we can use there.

I tried to make DH jealous by pointing out that I could spend one day at a WDW water park, with left over passes, if it were warm enough....he's so poker-faced, I can't tell if I am getting to him or not. :rotfl:

Maybe he'll just get back at you by leaving you home instead :scared1:,:rolleyes1,:lmao:

Definitely. I took a no-park Disney trip in '09 and it turned out to be a super relaxing and fun time. Let us know what you decide to do. :)

We went down for a budget trip during spring break with lids. Since we had them with us, we could not skip the parks entirely, but we only did 3 days out of 9. The rest was spent at the pool and one day at Disney quest. One day we drove to the beach. The kids all had a ball and did not miss non-stop park touring. If I was without kids, I would love several days of pool relaxing and maybe some outlet shopping. Sounds like heaven to me.
