Joh, I'm so sorry to hear this. At least you have the redundancy money and his pension. I take it he will be getting resettlement courses paid for too?

Sorry to hear this, but if its what I am thinking it is I am sure you were expecting it. My brother is being made redundant from his part time job and I know the redundancy package is not to be sneezed at.

It's not what you're thinking it is but it's still quite a good redundancy package

And, no, we weren't expecting it - if you're talking about what I think you're talking about, that in itself doesn't affect my DH at all. It's part of something completely different (sorry to everyone else for talking in tongues )

We have taken some steps to see if we can stay here for another 15 months so we can move back in summer 2007. Meanwhile, we are considering all our options and what DH wants to do when he goes back. I suspect he will go back to teaching (adults NOT kids) and that always made him happy so I hope he manages to get what he wants

Thanks for all your kind wishes - I suspect that next summer will be a pretty scary time for us but I'm sure that I will receive lots of support from my pals here on the DIS
