DH badly hurt knee ????s about what to do

We are leaving shortly for our trip and my Dh has badly hurt his knee. We went to the ER today and he has to stay off of it and go to a speciality doctor later in the week. We believe surgery will be involved .

I just don't know what to do . Right now I am researching renting a scooter for our trip because I can't see myself pushing my 6'1'' Dh around. Whatelse do I need to be aware of?
