Here we go, I plan on a June trip to WDW along with my mother and my boyfriend. If we go, we would be leaving a few days after mine and my boyfriend's birthday (we were both born on June 6th, I turn 19 and he turns 17) and as a birthday present I would like to take him to dinner at MK one evening. I've never been to a table service restaurant in WDW, so I'm posting here for some recommendations of were we could have a lovely dinner and then watch the fireworks. Any other tips of places we could enjoy the most together (he hasn't been to WDW in quite a while) would be wonderful! :cutie: :goodvibes

For dinner then fireworks I'd suggest California Grill (at Contemporary) or Narcoosee's (at Grand Floridian) Both restaurants have nice views of the fireworks.

If you would like to eat and then stake out a spot to watch the fireworks - you'll have to make an earlier dining reservation. Otherwise finding a spot on Main St to see the fireworks can be a challenge.

Have a wonderful trip.

don't discount the fireworks (illuminations) at EPCOT.
you could have a meal at one of the restaurants in world showcase (chefs de france, le cellier, tutto italia, etc) & watch the "show" afterwards (incredible views from most places in WS), or go to rose & crown, (not my fave for food tho) where there are tables right by the water.
afterwards, you can sit in the romantic gardens behind "england" (or enjoy a partial view if you want to watch from there).
illuminations is an incredible show, the fireworks, music, lighting (where each country in WS lights up up to the music) is stunning ~ we tend to go every single night of every single trip:rolleyes1 , & it brings me to tears, every single time...:cloud9:
maybe just me, but i feel like a spectator at wishes (whether watching in park, or from cali grill or narcooses), illuminations immerses me in its *magic*...

of course, doing both would be best case scenrio tho ;)
have a great trip :thumbsup2

Thanks very much for the tips guys! I'll probably be staying at the Movies resort and I could easily make it to GF. I've heard 1900 Park Fare is really good, what type of food do they have? Also, I was thinking that maybe dinner at MK would be the best and then head out to Wishes, I was thinking Cinderella's Royal Table or perhaps Crystal House, but i'm not very sure about the food... How is the food at these two?

The menus and prices can be found on allearsnet.com. I have linked the three menus for you so you don't need to search.

Also worth noting - if you go in June you'll be paying approximately $4 more than the prices noted on the current menus. June is subject to "holiday" pricing, which is when Disney increases the prices during peak times by about $4 for all pre-plated or buffet meals. Hard Menu restaurants are not subject to holiday pricing at this time.

One more note - Please don't forget to make those dining reservations for earlier rather than later. You could possibly end up missing wishes as you are eating or end up with a bad spot because you finished eating too late.

Thanks very much! The trip is not "secure" yet, it's a big possibility though. I'm just planning ahead of time so that when I get a yes from my Dboyfriend (or rather his parents, hehe) I can do those reservations immediately. :D
