My home resort is not the Grand Californian in Disneyland. Booking at 7 months is basically impossible. What about the waitlist? Has anyone who doesn't have the DGC as their home resort had any success from using the waitlist? If so, enlighten us all with the tale of your victory!

I had my waitlist come through for a studio for 4 nights in August. I put in the request as soon at the 7 month out opened and was approved after sitting a month.
Congrats!! I have been seeing across multiple platforms that many people are getting their WL fulfilled recently. :)

I have had several 1-2 night waitlists come through for VGC. I also have failed at having a waitlist come through too. Not having a waitlist come through was what originally led me to buying VGC points.

Right now, I have a pending waitlist for VGC for early December and I tried booking right at 11 months. I did book a handicap accessible studio as it was available, but would rather leave it for someone who needs it more --- I do have an elderly mom with me so it can be helpful for us --- i just prefer the regular one.

I can be perfectly honest with you, the people who book to rent these out spec do not care if its HA so I would book it and you can have MS notate that a HA is not needed and they can switch if there is someone who is in need of it.

Oh I had no qualms booking the HA studio. I did have someone once in one of the FB groups who gave me a little grief that I should leave them for those who need them. I mean I have an elderly family member who uses the wheelchair for the parks. It can make things a little easier even if I still prefer the regular studio.
