DFTW Cake Server/Knife

I remember seeing someone's thread that had a picture of the cake server/knife with Disney's Fairy Tale Wedding engraved on it. Who has it and where'd you get it? TIA!

Yep, I ordered mine directly from Disney. I then took it to Things Remembered to have it engraved. As Cryssi said it is $50 and I paid $12.95 to have it shipped (along with the Mickey purse). The engraving was under $30.

One more question, what do the handles look like?

I will have to take photos later, but the handles look like what you'd expect. They're silver with some decoration, not very elaborate or anything. The DFTW and Cinderella's carriage came engraved on the set. We had our names and wedding date engraved.

I really liked the Mickey "money purse." I was being sort of weird and didn't want it in our pics with Randy, so it got thrown on my train a lot during the photos. Any other time it just hung from my wrist. There was enough room for what I thought I would personally need... my cell phone, compact, the lipstick brush Anna left for me. There may have been a few other things.

Poor DF - looks like I've got a phone call to Disney Floral to make on Monday!

The Mickey purse sounds perfect for all the little stuff I'm going to want to have on hand (plus it's just too incredibly cute!) and the cake knife/server is beautiful.

DF asked why we'd "need" a cake set at home (since I don't bake) and I informed him that it will work equally well on those cakes he likes so much from the bakery section at the supermarket!

Does anyone know how long it takes to get engraved at things remembered?? I'm sure there is one at mall of mellenia and I'l hoping to buy this when we go for our planning session and engrave it while we are there

I'm not sure how busy the one in Orlando will be, but it shouldn't be a busy season for engraving. We had our's done in November. It took a couple of days to get it back.

I'm not sure if they're still doing this, but in the spring of 2006 I got the same set free when I made DF sign up for a Disney visa (i already had one of course). Now I have the server and he ends up with about $100 disney dollars a year for us to use on trips. Between the two of us we had $750 last spring for our trip and this year I'm hoping to have another $300 saved up! Anyway, if you don't already have a disney visa and you might like one anyway for points, take a look before you pay $50 for the set.

There you go ! The purse was delivered to our room the first day we were there. We went to the parks and came back and it was waiting for me ! I loved it !
