Developer points

I am on a waitlist to add on at AKV. If I get it I will receive 100 DP to be used at DL or SSR. SSR isvery pretty but I would much rather stay elswhere at WDW. What can I do with these DP that I do not plan to use?

Those Developer Points are somewhat limited in their scope - they may be used at SSR or at DL and cannot be transferred. Your only option is to make a reservation using the points. If you choose not to use the reservation yourself, your options would be to give it to someone else or try to rent it.

You can do a II trade with your developer points as well.

If you do not want to rent or trade those points out, have you thought about doing a split stay on your next trip? Start out your trip at SSR for a few nights to use up those points. Then switch to your home DVC or other DVC for the remainder of your trip. Then you can bank the left over contract points into your next UY. You get to try out a new resort and not let those points go to waste.

We stayed at SSR last week and really enjoyed it. It isn't our favorite resort but I wouldn't have a problem staying there again. I think we will actually be giving our additional developer points to my sister to take her family there next year (that is if she ever gets around to giving me some firm dates )

Unfortunately no for the current hybrid developer points.

Thanks for the quick reply! Like others have said, we think SSR is a beautiful resort but we don't have any interest in staying there. We like being in the "middle" (BCV, BWV) especially since Epcot is our favorite park and we usually end each day there.
