developer points reservation

Okay so I have 250 developer points to use by sept of next year. Since we're going to wdw hopefully in dec I would like to use these points at DL this april. I was arguing with dh who insists that we can't book until oct but I think we can this month. So if I want to book for April 19th 09 do I wait until oct 19th or can I book this friday? We are confused about the seven month window.

We were able to book using our DP immediately after we made our down payment, before we even saw any paperwork.

I want to book at the end of April with my developer points and my guide said I could do that at the end of September.

You can book up to 11 months in advance for the DL resorts (if the point charts are out).

I tried to use my developer points for June (SSR) and was told I would have to wait until the 7 month window. I bought AKV. If this isn't correct - someone let me know.

This is correct. You must wait until the 7 month window since SSR is not your home resort

You are able to book Disneyland at 11 months. I just booked the DLH for my stay 5/3-5/8. My first trip to Disneyland, I can not wait.
