GO TIGERS!

Isn't it exciting? :goodvibes

It's so much fun for the Tigers to be winning. It's been a LONG time!

Go Tigers :cheer2: :cheer2: :cool1: :cheer2: :thumbsup2 :cheer2:

Hoping they go all the way!! It's great for Detroit and all of MICHIGAN. :teeth:

I am so glad to see the Tigers making a come back! The end of the season was a disaster.

I can still remember 1984 :cheer2: :cheer2:

We went to Spring Training in Lakeland for 2 weeks (with a few days at Disney) and when it came time for World Series tickets we could not get any :guilty:

GO TIGERS GO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

WOW! who would have thunk the Tigers could pull all of this off? I actually have been watching them again for the first time in 15 years.

Now we just have to work on those Lions :rotfl2:

I was a preschooler, but I actuallt remember watching the 1968 World Series on TV with my Dad. Living in the south I don't get to see the Tigers on TV much, but have probably read box scores for 90% of their games over the last 38 years. 1984 was a blast, and this year just has me sky high! :cheer2:

Go Tigers!

Just found out this morning they won . lol :thumbsup2 My dh spent last night flipping back and forth between L&O SVU and the game until we went to bed.

As an A's fan, I'll admit it was a tough one to watch - I was there! They gave us these stupid sponge noodles to wave around - we must have looked like a Cheetos convention! And, hey, we may have well been - not like there was a game to watch!

(I want to know who put on those uniforms - it certainly wasn't the same team I saw last Friday!)

ok, how many sets of games do teams have to play before making it to the World Series? Say the Tigers win (he he he :thumbsup2 ) in 5, how many other teams are left?

The Tigers have to win 4 games against Oakland to advance to the next round which is the World Series. That series is also a best of 7. In baseball there are 2 rounds before the World series.

I was at the game on Saturday and it was just surreal, amazing, and awesome. I was hoping that they wouldn't let the partying and celebrating from that game effect yesterday's, but it didn't. Good game for Brandon. We were laughing all through Saturday's game as his batting average went down the drain.

GO TIGERS!!!

for those of you who remember the '68 series--

We're all behind our baseball team, GO GET-EM TIGERS.
World Series bound and picking up steam, GO GET EM TIGERS.
There'll be joy in Tigertown, we'll sing new songs, when the Tigers bring the
penant home, where it belongs--dum, dum, dum,
We're all behind our baseball team, GO GET EM, DETROIT TIGERS,
GO GET EM TIGERS :thumbsup2

My husband was so excited to see them beat the Yankees and then to beat the A's last night was great too. He grew up in Michigan and LOVES baseball!! We'll be watching the game tonight :) :)

Those noodles were strange indeed, especially since they were in the Tigers' colors. At first I thought they were tiger tails. :confused3 What did they have written on them?

Lifelong Tigers fan here. I grew up in Northern Indiana and our Little League team in the '60's would take the train to Detroit each summer to see a double header. The early 80's were great fun but it's been pretty dismal since then. This is a great change! Go Tigers!

Lifelong Tigers and Lions fan here, too (oh, how it's hurt). Grew up in Mt. Pleasant and vividly remember listening to the Tigers on my transistor radio wherever I went!

I was at the game that clinched the pennant in 1968 and remember standing on the pitchers mound (with thousands of fans) in bedlam after the game!

Earlier that year (I think it was the same year anyway) the year Denny McClain won 30, we went to game between the Tigers and A's featuring a real pitchers duel McClain vs. Nolan Ryan. We were so excited...Neither pitcher made it out of the second inning as I recall!!!

Go Tigers!!!
