I guess I should've posted this in the thread above but...

where is a good place to park at the Detroit airport if we are flying out on Air Tran and returning on Delta?

THX:wizard:

This isn't really what you asked but ....

My parents are flying out of Detroit and they were able to book a hotel that lets them keep the car there for the trip and will shuttle them to the airport for the same price as just parking at the airport would have been. Since they have an early morning flight, this option was more convenient then just the park 'n' fly.

Thanks for posting but no. Our flight is at 6pm and we're driving to the airport day of. :wizard:

There are several off site parking places that shuttle. We have used them but in connection with a hotel. The parking alone is a bit less than $100 for the week. You can also park in the airport at the Big Blue Deck: it services all terminals. However, it is more than $100 a week. Personally, I would do an off site parking.

Have a great trip!

I would also suggest the Yellow Lot - it is also $10 / day and has shuttle service to both terminals. We have parked there a few times with no issues. Just watch for the entrance - it can be easy to miss. More info is available on the Detroit Airport website I believe.

Airlines Parking (the yellow bus) and Qwik Park (the red bus) are both located on Merriman and have excellent shuttle service to the airport. Another is US Park on Middlebelt (which we also have used) but we found the shuttle service to be a little slower.

Speaking from experience, you can't go wrong with either lot on Merriman.

We always use US Park on Middlebelt and have never had a problem.

A little late coming into this thread, but I would recommend Airlines Parking which you can get for $8.00 per day if you prepay through http://www.pnfnetwork.com/

On arrival, they have a shutlle lead you to your parking space so there is no waiting.
