Here is a breakdown on how we used our Quick and Casual meal vouchers during our March 2003 visit to WDW. Keep in mind that each sitting fed 2 adults, 1 14 y/o and 1 5 y/o. We split most things, bought a few extra items and were never hungry. I have also included items that we paid cash for just FYI. I have placed method of payment in ( ) and the actual cash value next to it where applicable.

The meal vouchers were $11 each and I forget how much the breakfast vouchers were when I purchased them. The Vacation Kingdom lunch vouchers were $29.50 each.

If you have any questions, please ask.

Were you able to use the Q&C vouchers at night at the counter service locations and at food courts (including Pepper Market)? If so, those steak dinners sound great! Are the portions at the counter service and food courts still big, or have they cut down? Do you have an idea of about how much you saved with the breakfast vouchers? I would think this is where the biggest savings would be had. Was all the food you got from the Lotus Blossom included in the two vouchers? Or did you have ot pay some? Were you able to use the lunch voucher at Rainforest Cafe up until a certain time? Were the portions big enough that two adults with healthy appetites could have been full sharing only one voucher? Were you able to upgrade anything or get anything special at RFC free with your voucher? Did you find the trip to Beaches & Cream was worth it? Overall, did you feel you saved or just ordered more because you had the vouchers? Sorry for the barage of questions. Thanks!

Okay, let me try to answer!

You can use the Q&C anytime--even in the evening. I think we ate at Pepper Market around 5:00-5:30.

The portions were plenty big enough for us. My dh and I are big eaters and the kids are not so there was plenty of food when we split two meals.

I cannot remember how much I paid for my breakfast vouchers and I cannot locate my reciept for them. (I am not an organized person). We probably saved $5 per adult before tax and tip.

ALL of that food was included from the Lotus Blossom Cafe'. It was a ton food!

We had a 3:00 p.m. seating at the Rainforest Cafe'. I am not sure how late you can use the $29.50 Lunch Voucher there. I think two adults could easily share one voucher there. We went last year and loved it. This year the food was not nearly as good and the service was very mediocre. If we had had this year's experience last year we would not have gone back this year! (Hey, that made no sense!)

We enjoyed Beaches and Cream and would probably go back--even without a voucher. It was fun to eat and then get a HUGE dessert. They kids really enjoyed it, too.

Overall, I think we saved some money. From what I can figure we saved around $250 on food over the 9 days that we were there.

Ordinarily, I would not have ordered things like those Ice Cream Cookie Sandwiches because I am way to cheap to pay $3 for one. It was very nice to have them included in the voucher--it was a nice way to top off a meal and to ensure that everyone was full.

Sounds like you did great with your food vouchers! Thanks for posting!

Frann,

We went at the end of February and ate at the RFC after AK closed and were still able to use the voucher. We upgraded the steak/lobster to the primal steak. I figured out that with 2 vouchers we ate about $145 worth of food inc. the tax and tip that is included in the voucher. There was more than enough food for 4 people.
