Details on formal on Fantasy, please.

Howdy! Is there a formal night on the Fantasy?
If so, what are some of the details?

On 7 night cruises there will be a formal night. You can be as dressed up as you like. You will see a wide variety of dress. Some wear jeans still. Some wear full suits and evening gowns.

It is typically on night 2 (the first sea day). Many of the characters will be in their formal outfits for pictures, and their will be photo backdrops of the ship as well as a professional photo area for formal family pics. as PP said, you can dress up in a Tux and Formal gown, suit and tie and cocktail dress, or wear jeans and not really participate (you will see all varieties). For us it is great to get family pictures and it feels special to be able to dress up with my girls.

If you choose to dress up, my tip would be to send your dress and suit to be pressed as soon as you get settled in your room on the first day. The price is really reasonable for a press--very much worth it.

We dressed up for both formal and semi formal night. I wore a long evening dress for formal night and a fun short polka dot dress for semi formal. DH wore a shirt and tie for both. We got family pictures taken for both since we don't dress up often. It was a nice opportunity. I'd post pictures, but I just started on here and can't yet.

Our Fantasy night had Formal and Semi-Formal night. We did both and had a blast. But there were many others who didn't dress up. We did long dresses on Formal night and shorter for semi-formal. Here we are with Formal Daisy. That too was fun, getting "fancy" pictures with the Formal characters.
