Desserts at BOG

We are eating dinner at BOG on my DD's 14th birthday. We are traveling with a party of 10 (2 families). I planned to order a custom birthday cake for my DD. We are on the dining plan and I understand that dessert is part of the meal. I have heard that there are many fun dessert options at BOG and I imagine people in our party would want to try them. I don't know whether to order an 8 inch cake so that everyone would enjoy it, or the mini cake just for my DD. How large are the desserts at BOG?

Aren't they just cupcakes? The BOG cupcakes look unimpressive here on the Dis. I've never been so let's hear from those who have experienced them.

The cupcakes are really very good, and very filling after a meal. I always struggle to finish those last couple bites. I would opt for the personal cake and let others order cupcakes. A trip to BOG isn't complete without one.

The desserts are mostly cupcakes, cream puffs, an eclair, and the "grey stuff" which is a hard brownie with a cookies and cream mousse on top. I had the chocolate cupcake and while it was good, it was nothing really special. I would order the 8 inch cake.

The Master's (chocolate) cupcake isn't available at dinner, but the lemon and the strawberry both are, and they are to die for!

Honestly I would do the personal cake. I'd be surprised if the birthday girl herself didn't want to try one of the desserts offered at BOG and have cake. A personal cake might still be enough that some others who want can just try a little of the cake and get a dessert of their choosing as well, and it's less likely that you might have a lot of extra cake to carry through the park or worse throw away.

I've eaten all the desserts and none have a wow factor. I'd compare them to a good grocery dessert from Publix. Sad as I think there is so much potential here. None are very big.

Given your situation I would order a personal cake for your daughter - seems more fun - and let everyone order what they want since they are included in your plan. While again nothing special, just saying you had tried the Grey Stuff may be fun for guests.

I'm aware that the Master's cupcake is not available at dinner. I had the triple chocolate cupcake at the end of my dinner after my server recommended it highly. It was good but I did not think that it was anything special.

Hey BOG...a suggestion: keep the cupcakes at lunch but how about some actual French pastries for those using TS credits at dinner. Creme Brulee...pretty much anything from Les Halles.

We are eating at BOG for my DDs 10th birthday and also have 10 people! All on the dining plan, so I'm planning on getting a mini cake for her, which I'm sure she will share if anyone else wants some.
Personally, I LOVED the grey stuff.

Love the strawberry cream cheese cupcake. Found the chocolate one was dry and flavorless. Had the blood orange cream puff at Halloween and while I liked the pastry part found the orange cream a bit overwhelming. I would try the choco cream puff though.

The Strawberry Cupcake is a traditional dessert we eat every time we go. It's quite large for a cupcake and rich enough that we can usually order a kids meal each and a cupcake and we're full!
