I saw/read somewhere the other day about trying different desserts from the different countries around World Showcase on Epcot. I thought it would be fun to do on our upcoming trip. So my question is what is everyone's fave desserts, from each country? My son and I have already decided we have to try a salted caramel square from Germany!

France- the Napoleon and creme brûlée

Germany- definitely the salted caramel square- dark and milk chocolate

Italy- gelato

Also, not in the world but Sunshine seasons has an amazing strawberry shortcake!

Sunshine Seasons is in the Land pavilion. Where Soarin and Living with the Land are.

Lots of yummy choices at the bakery in France! Last trip we got churros with caramel sauce outside Mexico. We used to also get sandwiches and they had desserts in the bakery in Norway, but I don't know if that's still there with the Anna & Else makeover?

We really enjoy the sorbet at the ice cream place in France! The mixed berry is so yummy!

There are four of us, so the idea is to share 1 item between the four of us (otherwise will cost a fortune and theres sure to be something my kids don't like!)

This is what I have so far:

Norway - school bread (ds12 probably won't like)

Germany - salted caramel square

France - creme brulee (I probably won't like nor either son, but hubby will love!) Or ice cream sandwich

Italy - gelato or cannoli

Japan - shaved ice (what flavour is rainbow??)

Mexico - Churros

Probably skip Canada, UK and USA.

What do you think?

Good start!

In Norway: we loved the Viking Mousse more than the School Bread (heresy to some, but there you have it)

Morocco: baklava!

In the U.S. we enjoy the funnel cake and in the U.K. we'd order the Banoffee Tart (has Irish whiskey in it) from the Rose and Crown Pub, but there's also a Apple and Rhubarb Crumble to try.

Sadly, since the Beaver Tails left Canada, there really is no sweet treat to be had unless you dine at Le Cellier.

But France! Mon Dieu! So many amazing choices! Café Liégeois, the Chocolat Mousse, the Eclairs, the Macarons!

Enjoy!
