Hello! I know it's early but thinking about the Christmas Party dessert party. Where do you watch from? Are there assigned seats? Do you need to get there early? Is it worth it?

Or is there a thread just about this?

Thanks! :)

2. Are there assigned seats?

In Magic Kingdom-

1. Inside the Tomorrowland Terrace Noodle Station.
-OR- They MIGHT offer an alternate viewing area in the Hub
in what used to be the eastern FP+ viewing area. **
2. No.
3. You should arrive when told, which is usually about an hour before the fireworks start.
4. Some like it. Some watch without it.

Thanks! That's an awesome map! I'd do it if I knew we would be in the green section! I had no idea there was something called a noodle station. Made me laugh for some reason!

I'm on the fence. We've never been to a Christmas Party and I'm trying to decide if it's a time saver or not.

Not a "time saver."
If they offer it during the party, it eats up an hour of valuable party time.

Interesting... I would have thought it would eliminate the need to save seats for the parade and then the fireworks giving us more time to enjoy the party. Shows how much I know.

(Edited to correct info)

For the regular dessert party... you have two booking options... either the Tomorrowland Terrace or the Garden Viewing location. Everyone has desserts in the Tomorrowland Terrace area. Before the fireworks, guests that booked the Garden Viewing are escorted to the Garden Viewing area.

(Edit to correct): Was just reading up on the MVMCP Dessert Party last year that did offer parade viewing... think they walked you to a spot or something. Might want to check in the MVMCP thread for more info.

I would not want to watch MVMCP fireworks from the Tomorrowland Terrace - you'll miss out on a chunk of the 180 fireworks. I would be fine with the Garden Viewing area - that's a great spot.

Hope that helps.

I did the Terrace (there was no Garden view, then) on NYE 2014, and I'll admit, I liked it. We actually had assigned tables for that party, and mine was right on the corner, closest to Cindy's House. (that was my pixie dust that trip)

When it got closer to fireworks time, most people got out of their seats and onto the railing, anyway. We got to watch Tinkerbell fly overhead before she disappeared.

The view was pretty good, and not having to fight the absolute gaggle of people on the 31st made it well worth it. It also was nice not having to sit in one spot starting at 3 pm (some people stalked out spots at noon, and sat there for 12 hours!).

The desserts were delicious, the sparkling grape juice in plastic champagne glasses at the end was a very nice touch to end the year.

Thanks, that's great info. I wonder why the garden viewing option is so much cheaper if it's better viewing?

Probably because there are no chairs in the garden. As long as you're ambulatory, you won't need chairs, though. The grass is fine & there's plenty of room to sit/lay down without others infringing on your space. I wouldn't even want to watch the fireworks from Tomorrowland Terrace. We did the party with garden viewing 2 weeks ago & had an ideal view with no crowding.
