Dessert Party Rehearsal?!

So DF and I are thinking of doing a dessert party instead of a rehearsal dinner. We'll probably have around 50 people and we are open to different locations and options. I heard that you could have one near the GF or Poly but I haven't seen pictures so I am not sure if the view of the fireworks is good. Plus, who do I need to contact to get info and prices? Any suggestions, pictures, or info would be greatly appreciated!

We had a rehearsal dinner for our immediate family but had a welcome dessert party at the Grand Floridian right after. We had it at the GF Marina. It was a great location and wonderful view of the fireworks.

I have been reading Lurkyloos trip report for like the last week (its sooooo long) but she had a picture or two looking down from her room at a dessert party. I think I could have mixed it up with someone elses TR but I think it was hers.

At the GF I think you can see the castle from where they do it. I have never heard of one at the Poly but that would be really cool!

I would ask your consultant or planner and they could give you prices.

There was a dessert party thread prolly a page or 2 back now that had tons of pictures and prices of everything. I know for epcot there is a fireworks viewing charge and then the dessert parties start at I think 22 a person and go up and up and up depending on what you decide to serve.

Sorry I can't help with prices for the GF.

After our rehersal we had a dinner at Ohana with our immediate family and bridal party but later that evening hosted an Illuminations Dessert Party in EPCOT> We had around 65 people and used the upper French Island.
