dessert party question...

I just booked the After Hours event for March 9th at the Magic Kingdom. We are also possibly interested in the dessert party as well. Here's my question.....the event time is listed as 8pm. Is this time the start of the fireworks, or the time for when the dessert party starts? I understand for After Hours, they start letting people in at 7pm....if the dessert party doesn't start until 8, then that's perfect...however if it starts at 7, then I'd be afraid I'd be cutting into the time we have to be able to enjoy the food if we won't be let into the parks until 7. Thanks!

The event time for the Dessert Party when i go to book it shows 8:00pm. Do you all think that will be plenty enough time to enjoy the desserts before you have to head to the viewing area for the fireworks? Do they let you in before 8:00pm, or is that a hard set time? Thanks.

The terrace party is listed as starting at 8 pm. The plaza garden party is listed as starting at 7:30 pm. Just make sure to book the one you are interested in.

Yeah I booked the garden for 7:30. Why do they have two different times for the garden vs terrace? Isn’t everyone eating before the fireworks? Or are they giving the garden viewers a little more time since they have to leave time to walk to the viewing area?

Terrace participants do not leave their space (the Terrace), so they won't need additional time to enjoy desserts before the fireworks.

On the other hand, Garden participants eat dessert before needing the time to secure a spot in the garden.

Some folks like the coverage and seating (on the Terrace); others prefer the more centered-view (in the Garden).
