I read on a PJ that the menu has been changed for a Dessert Party. Can someone either post the new menu or PM it to me? I want to see if it will still be in our affordability.

I received it as a pdf document with my planning package, so I haven't figured out how to post it. But our WISHES! dessert party at Sago Cay Pointe will be considerably more expensive than if we'd done Illuminations. My understanding is that Grand Floridian catering has its own menu and price list. It has definitely impacted our budget and our guest list. The price per person starts at $27 per guest for 1 hour service and goes up from there, and that's not including 20% service charge and 6.5% sales tax. We are looking at a minimum of $34.51/guest. OUCH!!!

Can you still do the ice cream station? And isn't mousse kinda the same texture as cheesecake? I've never had that before.

That is quite a difference! Do you have to pay a viewing fee for the fireworks at all on top of that?

No, but if we want the WISHES music piped into the area, it was something additional and really, really high, though I don't remember now how much -- at least $250.

I wouldn't think so, since you're not inside the park. The viewing fee is sorta like paying a reduced admission price to go into the park just for the fireworks.

I was hoping that a Wishes dessert party would be cheaper because you wouldn't have to pay the illuminations viewing fee! I guess if you factor in the price to have the music piped in that increases the cost by quite a bit. I was given a price of $650 + + !! Would you be able to email me the menu please? I will send a PM with my email address. I was told to discuss the dessert menu when I go for my planning session but I would like an idea of the menu before I go. Also where is Sago Cay Pointe? Sago Cay Pointe is at the Grand Floridian, though I haven't been there. I think if you look at a resort map and find Sago Cay, it is the beach area near that building.
