Dessert party during the Halloween party

Has anyone been able to book a dessert party during MNSSHP this year? The dessert party has been opened up through December, but so far I have been unable to get a reservation on a Halloween party night. I can get a reservation on a Christmas party night or a regular Wishes night – but not during the Halloween party.

I’ve tried all of the “tricks” that fellow DISsers have offered…like booking under the “Special Events Dining” prompt…and asking the CMs to look under “fireworks” dessert party instead of “Wishes” dessert party. In each case, the CMs tell me there is no dessert party on Halloween nights.

But, both the DIS and AllEars are reporting that the party is available on all nights between now and December. So, I’m confused about who’s right – the DIS and AllEars or the dining CMs?

So, has anyone been able to book a dessert party this year during the Halloween party?

I tried to book it for Sept 28th MNSSHP and it was not available. The CM said it showed no availability so that meant it was sold out or not offered. I called on the first day they opened the dates up so I am guessing it was not offered.

I thought others have posted that they were able to book for some of the parties.

I had the same experience as you. I have talked to about 5 different CMs, and they have all said there is no dessert party this year on MNSSHP nights.

But, like you, I thought I had heard about other people booking the dessert party for MK party nights. I know for sure others have booked for Christmas party nights, but I'm not sure that I've heard of anyone booking a Halloween party night.

They did atleast in Sept cause that is when i went was on a MNSSHP night.. I called and they are going to have it on the night of MVMCP though... Maybe they will release those dates closer or something???

just my 2 cents here -- I would think that would not be a very good place to see Hallowishes from...out in the open where you can see all around is the best place to see the Halloween version of the fireworks spectaculars...they go off from all over the park so being in the middle of the park & being able to turn all the way around as they go off was great. We watched from near the Carousel - was great fun. I wouldn't want to waste more than an hour of party time cordoned off over in a part of the park that's kind of secluded from the main Halloween fun/decor/goings-on.

You really don't have to "stake out" a good spot for Hallowishes if you're going to one of the earlier parties...

I think there is another thread somewhere - but there are multiple reports regarding this year that while they are NOT booking the dessert party on MNSSHP nights they ARE booking on MVMCP nights. This is different from last year and since Disney didn't announce it, the unofficial sites likely assumed the booking practice would be the same this year. If you've got multiple reports that it's not being done it's likely not being done.
