Dessert Party/CRT for New Year's Eve Fireworks?

Hi everyone,

My ADR window came open today for a few days of our upcoming trip (we are doing a split stay) and I was really hoping there would be a dessert party for fireworks on NYE in Magic Kingdom. So far, it looks like there are parties on December 29 and January 1, but nothing for December 31. Anyone with some experience know if this is likely to change with times added for December 31? In the event that no parties are added, I made a reservation for 11:00 pm at CRT. I have not done CRT during fireworks and I am not crazy about doing doing CRT again, but thought this might be an option to avoid tons of crowds during the midnight fireworks. Will guests at CRT be able to view the fireworks?

On Saturday I had an 8:45 ressie when fireworks started at 9. I could kinda see them from my seat, some kids went to stand by the window. But you can't see all of them.

They opened dessert party for booking July 3-4 really late, like maybe 2 weeks ago.

I wouldn't bother with crt if you're not interested in princesses. You'll be sad that you paid that much for boring food and a lame fireworks view.

I just called and they're not listed yet for the 30th or the 31st - GRRRR.

What's the point of trying to make rsvps 6 months out if they're not going to be available?!

I've been in this boat since June 25th when my 180+10 became available. I'm going with my little sister who's in a wheelchair, we went 2 years ago for new years eve and it was a nightmare so we were hoping to get into one of the dessert parties this time. It's not been available and the cast member I spoke to just kinda laughed and said "well Disney likes to be difficult"....

From what I've read the dessert parties are now open for booking oct-dec. Just New Year's Eve is still unavailable.

New Years Eve last year didn't open until mid October I think if I remember correctly (we were going to do it originally then life happened).

Yeah - january is open now too for dessert parties but 12/30 and 12/31 is not.

I really wish the they'd open up the 3oth and 31st...ugh. It's starting to stress me out.

I feel for you guys. I won't be there the 31st, but I know what it's like having to check every single day, waiting and waiting for the dates to open up. It's aggravating to say the least. Good luck everyone!

No they weren't, the dates just became clickable. They're still not taking reservations.

Just found out they did accept reservations for the 30th not the 31st
