Dessert party attire

I apologize because I'm sure this has been asked before, but I was wondering if escape brides can wear their wedding dress to the dessert party in EPCOT. I noticed that lurkyloo had hers on, but I don't know if its only something that wishes brides can do.

Ask your planner. You can wear it but there are very mixed messages about whether or not you have to take Disney transportation into the park to wear it. Personally, I was told I can walk through the International Gateway wearing my dress.

I'm also having a Morocco DP and was told it was too far from IG to walk in my dress....but we're taking a car back from AKL (Jiko for dinner) anyway, so it's no big deal for us to take the car backstage and come in that way...


Definitely ask your coordinator/planner person...

I too have noticed that there is a difference in what one bride is told vs. another. My planner quoted us for our DP using Disney transportation if I wanted to wear my dress and we'll be in Morocco. However since there is going to be such a long time between the ceremony and the DP, I don't feel like wearing my dress all day (or taking it off and then putting it on again later) so I'm not wearing it to the DP so using transportation won't be an issue. I'd just double check with your planner and see about getting it in writing or something.

It's not a back "door" exactly....I'm not sure of the specifics...perhaps Lurkyloo might have more info.....

If your transportation takes you backstage, you come in through one of the backstage entrances in the World Showcase. They are big gates. There's one next to Morocco and one next to American Adventure that I know of for sure.

there's an entrance between the UK and Canada too - it's between the off kilter stage and the UK bathrooms. DH and I got to use it when doing our initial Wishes wedding plannng session.

I just had my escape wedding less than two weeks ago and we had a dessert party in Morrocco. Like others I was told that I had to have Disney Transportation to wear my dress. We where able to get an 11 passenger van for $204.75 for 3 hours. We only had 11 people total at the wedding but 5 of them ended up walking to the dessert party. We parked back stage Morrocco and walked through the park to the roped off area, then escorted back after the party. The driver waited back stage for us and im sure if we had any problems and needed to leave early he was available for us. The van also picked my parents up off property before the party and then dropped them off after.
