Dessert Parties

When do they normally open the reservations for the dessert parties? I want to do the following:

Frozen
Magic Kingdom - Plaza viewing
Stars Wars

I already have Pirates - scheduled for multiple days because I can't figure out when the others will be available. Yesterday was my 180 days so I have my restaurants now and a pretty solid itinerary but I want to make sure that I get my dessert parties. When should I start really stalking the site?

MK/Plaza Viewing is ‘often’ available at 180 days, but that’s not always the case (as you’re running into right now). For whatever reason it’s not bookable past 5/31 at the moment. This happens periodically thoughout the year with no particular logic (at least to my knowledge) Disney will eventually load those dates into the system so they’re bookable, but you have to make a note to pay attention as it’s a bit hard to predict when that will happen.

FWIW, MK/Plaza Viewing has a relatively high attendance count and usually doesn’t sell out right away when it does become bookable. So while you should stay prudent in checking when it becomes available, it’s not something you need to be particularly worried/stressed about, IMHO.

I’m sorry I can’t speak to the other dessert parties.

I’m sorry I can’t speak to the other dessert parties.

I've never had to book one of the other parties, but I often hear that they are not available for booking until just two or three months out. As an example, I just heard that the SW party is currently bookable only through March.

I guess that I will just have to log on every morning and look. I just want to have my itinerary done. And not having to keep watching it. Thanks

I couldn't book HEA for November until July. Just my experience.

Star Wars dessert party for April 2018 just opened this morning....that may help you predict reservation availability for your planning.

I’m doing the Star Wars dessert party with my oldest son for our Mom-Son trip in March. I can’t wait! (If anybody has any tips about this one, please send them my way)
