Hi, I can't seem to find any info on the dessert parties (wishes/starwars). Have they stopped? If not, are they worth the price?

I know at least Wishes is still going, but I've been trying to get a reservation for weeks for my honeymoon and there has been no availability at all the week I'm there.

Are they worth it is a matter of opinion and you will get just about as many yes's as nos. I've been to the one at MK and didn't think it was worth it at the old price, much less the new one. From what I've heard, the tables are no longer assigned so you have to do the cattle herd thing and grab one. They have evidently lined them up against the railing and there is no standing at the railing so if you have a table in the back under the roof, you are SOL. We had a table up front, no tables in front of us when we went but that was when it hadn't been going long and just as soon as the show started people ran to the railing so if you stayed seated you couldn't see. My avitar was taken from there so you can see that the view wasn't that great. The desserts were just so so and not worth the money since who can really eat more than one or two? I don't know about the other one

Oh, boo. On the downside, this doesn't sound so awesome anymore. On the upside, I haven't had any luck getting a reservation anyway, so it doesn't matter, I guess.

We went to Wishes after the price increase and we did have an assigned table. I think whether or not it's worth it is a matter of opinion. For us we like it because my DH isn't a fan of crowds, so it feels a little more removed. The desserts are ok, people do still try to crowd up to any area of the rail, and if you want to see the parade it's not a great view. However it's a great view of the fireworks and Tinkerbell.
