Can anyone tell me how Disney handles allergies at their dessert parties? It was the one reservation that did not have a box about special diet concerns. I have a peanut allergy. I will have my epipen with me. I do not have a contact allergy (I mean if you put peanut butter directly on my arm I will develop a hives but nothing life threatening).

I really think the parties will help my autistic son as he won't need to be in such a cramped space to watch the fireworks so I doubt I will cancel but I would prefer if I could have at least some allergy friendly desserts. Anyone know what I should do or who I should reach out to?

Call WDW-DINE and have the allergy put on your reservation. The desserts are not prepared at the party, they are brought in from somewhere else, so they will need to know ahead of time that they should supply designated peanut free desserts for you.

Thank you! I called and added it. I'm surprised that other dining reservations have a box to check but this one doesn't. Anyway happy to know I will be provide allergy friendly treats.

Last year, we did the Star Wars Dessert Party at DHS with my daughter who has multiple food allergies. We were able to note the allergies on the reservation. When we checked in, they told us to ask any of the servers to see the 'chef' when we were ready to eat. We did and waited for a few minutes before a lovely young lady came out. She took DD through the tables with what she could and couldn't eat. Then she brought out a large bag of safe goodies and treats for her to choose from (Mostly baked goods) and some fresh fruit for her as well. We were very pleased with how they handled it and that she had lots of choices (especially for the price). Because of this experience, we booked Jingle Bell, Jingle Bam Dessert Party for this year, and hoping we have a similar experience. This is the only dessert party we've had experience with so far, so I'm sure it may vary by party. I hope you have a great experience too! :)
