Hubby and I are taking our first ever grownups only trip to WDW this weekend for the EE AP preview - so excited!

We'll be having dinner at Kona on Saturday night, and I'm curious if anybody's tried the Caramel-Banana Creme Brulee, and if so, how did you like it? We've only had dinner there one other time, and I had the Kiluea Torte that time. I know lots of people love it, but it did nothing for me. I thought the cake part was too dry, and there just wasn't enough of the chocolate lava to make up for it.

Also, if there's another dessert you loved at Kona, please tell me about it.

My mom had it. She thought it was wonderful. I personally like the KoKo puffs the best, and my kids loved the Kiddie Kone. :woohoo:

I didn't like the creme brulee but I do not like anything but the true creme brulee. The Koko puffs are delicous but no longer on the menu.

Hi, I had it and LOVED it! But I LOVE caramel, like bananas and LOVE creme brulee! When I had it, we had gone to Kona JUST FOR dessert (like around 9pm in April) and I had it with a nice cup of coffee. Joan

;) We ate at Kona Cafe in December and had the Banana Creme Brulee and the Chocolate Torte. We are big fans of Creme Brulee and I was not impressed. The chocolate torte however was DELICIOUS!!!!!!! Our 6 year old had the Kidde Kone and that was a big hit. I would say it is personal preference and can be hit or miss. We love Kona Cafe for dinner and are big fans of the Polynesian. :wave2:

We went to Kona just for dessert this past December. Sorry...we didn't have the Banana Creme Bruele. But my favorite is the Koko Puffs and as stated before...they are no longer on the menu. I was CRUSHED!! So I commented to our server about them and she said they are no longer on the menu but they still make them for birthdays and other occasions. She said I could order them!! I'm not sure how long they'll still make them....but it made my night!

We had the Kilhuea Torte, and it wasn't the best 'lava cake' type dessert I'd ever had. I think the problem was that it wasn't served warm and did not include ice cream.

we were ther in nov 05-I had the tropical mousse-It was delish-a perfect relatively light treat after a big meal! :wizard:
