Hi everyone,

I'm just wondering if there are restrictions for dessert at Beaches and Cream using the DDP. Obviously the Kitchen sink is out but are there other limitations?
Can you get a milkshake or float for your drink and then dessert as well?

Thanks

I'd be interested in hearing more from people who have used (or tried to use) meal and snack credits there. I feel like Spice Road and the desserts at B&C are where the DDP and its rules breaks down.
I got a snarky response from a fellow poster when I asked about the Kitchen Sink. But given the prices of snacks and desserts that do apply under the DDP, like two-scoop sundaes as a "snack," it seems like something should work at B&C.

Snack credits do not work at table service restaurants. Period. End of story.

I've seen reports where four people, all using a table service credit, were allowed to pool together for the kitchen sink. But that doesn't mean it's policy, so ymmv on that.

You can use a Snack Credit at the Walk-Up window for Beaches & Cream, which is considered QS, and at which you will not be seated in the restaurant. You can never use a Snack Credit at TS, as supersnoop says.

If we have dinner elsewhere nearby, is it worth it to pass up our DDP dessert to go to B&C? Never been there so just wondering what all the fuss is about.

We stay at BCV and we always go to Beaches and cream we love it so I would say yea it is worth it.

I would say no. I woudl have my meal and use my dessert credit at the TS restaurant and then use my snack credit at the Main Street Ice Cream Parlor on a sundae or ice cream sandwich, or at Ghiridelli's or any other ice cream counter. Epcot had good ice cream in France as well, so why waste a dessert credit and then buy ice cream?

If you PAID for that dining plan, than it is never worth it to pass up part of your entitlements unless you like losing money.

The ice cream at B&C is Edy's Ice Cream. It's good, but it's not worth losing money over.

Well, it's free dining. But still, probably not worth it for Edy's Ice Cream.

Free dining is a discount, and you are paying for your stay. WHile I never advocate "maxing" the plan by ordering and eating food you don't want simply because of the cost, I also never suggest you throw money away. Ice cream is ice cream. We always have our sundae at the Main Street Ice Cream parlor, one snack credit and just as good as B&C.

i have been to B&C twice. It is cute but I would never ever use the dining plan. I am actually staying at BC this trip and got adr at B&C but will pay oop for it. If you are strolling around the BW area check it out

We are doing this too. Have the dining plan, but we are going to beaches and cream OOP to get the kitchen sink to share!!
