Dessert and Coffee at Artist Point?

If we go at a later time in the evening, is this frowned on at all by the CMs in WDW? I just love the actual restaurant at AP but I don't want to use two dining credits to eat there as we are already going to Jiko on a four day trip. Might also do this at Kona, though then we will just be able to title this the "Dessert Trip"

Anyone done this and felf at all uncomfortable?

IMHO as long as you go past the main dinner hour--maybe around 9:00pm or so and tell them at the podium you are only interested in dessert and coffee, you will be welcomed.
