We are coming in Oct and just wondered with it being new, are the queues still quite long?

I haven't seen too much over 40 minutes. Depending on what part of October you are coming there is a chance it will be relatively slow with minimal wait. It's definitely worth it as it is an immediate classic in my eyes with everything that is good about a theme park ride. Great pre show, ties in great to the source material, hilarious and has heart. They could not have done a better job on this.

So is it similar to how they did Jimmy neutron then? My Ds loved that and the way it was done.
Thanks for the reply.

I would say like The Simpsons for Back to the Future, Despicable Me took everything that was good about Jimmy Neutron and went to the next level. Very similar on the ride itself, but preshow much better, 3D much better, story much better, etc. Even people who haven't seen the film will enjoy it, but I would suggest adding Despicable Me to the rotation in the month before coming because there are a lot of things which mean so much more if you've seen the movie first.

Sounds great, we are looking forward to it. Thanks for the info.

Is it down to 40 minutes now? That's great news since it was so jammed earlier this month. If we can get back to Universal this October, it'll be nice to see it.

I'm sure a big part of it is that kids in Florida (and presumably some other states) have gone back to school. I know for my town (closer to West Palm FL) went back last Monday.

I went yesterday morning. I have an annual pass so I got in a few minutes before regular park hours. The was no wait. About an hour just after 10am there was still no wait.
But it could have been the storm keeping people away.

Anyway I am a huge fan. It is fun and entertaining. :)
