Desperately seeking in-room breakfast ideas

We get the red plastic cups and plastic spoons and do instant oatmeal in the microwave or if they have a coffee pot you could warm the water in there and not add the coffee. That way it doesn't have to be kept cold while we travel we have limited space in our minivan and save the small ice chest for the danamials, gogurts, and Pepsi for mom! We also do muffins and orange juice. : ) I like some of the other ideas on here though they were all good!

We have the mini refrigerator and microwave in our room with the teeny freezer section so we are going to a store to buy the microwavable sausage and bacon to go along with the cereal, bananas and homemade muffins.

We eat breakfast in the room all but one day when we visit. To save myself some packing room, and make things easier, I buy a few of the oatmeals or cereals that come in a bowl that you just peel the lid off of. They work great especially for breakfast the day we leave since we normally don't eat until we stop at the rest stop for the first potty break.

OJ and granola bars are a must as well. I usually take beef jerky to have shortly after breakfast for protein (hypoglycemic). We always take grapes to snack on during the drive so we tend to have those with breakfast in the room as well. I usually take some hard boiled eggs too.

I was thinking we'd pick up a couple of those JImmy Dean type sandwich things to try before we go. No sense in packing them if my picky eater won't eat them ya know?

I'll have to look into a smaller toaster and one of those microwave egg cookers. The kid and I both love homemade "mcmuffins" and that would be a perfect breakfast and super easy.

wow, you dis'ers have some great ideas!!! This has really helped me out! Hope it will help others who are doing some trip planning as well!

We always stock up on the mini cereals that are already in the bowls and pack them in our suitcases along with some spoons then buy milk at the resort to keep in the fridge. I like the Kashi hear to heart because it has protein and fiber. I buy extra so the kids can have a snack before bed too. We are big cereal lovers at our house! :)

WE usually stay at the Hojos (close to McDs) and my dad will run and get some breakfast items. It's too heavy to JUST eat that, so I'll split one of their breakfast items between my two kids and then also get them to eat some fruit and oatmeal. I also usually bring a bag of carrots (not exactly breakfast food but my oldest will eat those anytime in a pinch) and string cheese so we can kind of mix up the junk food/healthy food ratios and keep us all sane. I hate toasting/cooking anything in a hotel room because it just gets everything stinky, so that works for us.
