Hi

If anybody knows where I can get a UK Nintendo wii please, please let me know. I have tried everywhere, like many other people and they just are not in stock. Although I do suspect that they are stockpiling them to create this 'must have' feeling, I feel nervous waiting for them to come out. If I can't get a wii it will have to be an Applie i-phone which will cost me loads more.

Thanks for any help

Tina

have you tried wii-consoles.co.uk for updates, i think alot of people are on waiting lists.

Yes, have it live on my desktop. I just missed out on one this morning by 3 minutes from Tesco. I have actually purchased one from BT but they are now saying that they may not be able to honour orders as they have no stock. I have my name on two lists as well. Hopefully something will come up.

play.com has some traders with new consoles for sale, might be worth a look!

Good luck! :thumbsup2

Good luck.

Keep looking online with Game and woolies. This is where Bruce got his 360 and Wii last time when this happened with short supplies.

Hi I'm in the same position!
I had one reserved and when I went to collect the lovely sales man - said I should have collected it by mid day and so they had sold it! I was fuming! now one had told me when I reserved it had to be by a specific time.
I've been trying Woolies and I'm just asking everywhere I go.
Good luck

Dh said that apparently people are getting them from Amazon germany. all they are doing is changing the plug and its working fine. With sports bundle it works out as £145.00

I echo the above - the manual has an english section, and because it's still european playing UK games on it is no issue at all. If you don't fancy changing the plug, you can just buy a Euro -> UK plug adapter. I've been getting a lot of positive responses from others doing this.

Another site worth looking at is www.wiipreorder.co.uk - they have an up-to-date rundown of who has stock (currently nobody except germany), and will even email you stock alerts.

Good luck and happy Wiiing!

they had loads in our local woolworths the other day

I bought one yesterday off the Amazon.de site.
It cost approx £175 which includes the sports bundle and delivery by DHL. Expected delivery 22-26th of November though people are saying they are getting them in under a week.

There's a step by step guide on moneysavingexpert.com in the forums under grab it while you can.

Alot of people are now aware of the German site so if you are planning to get one I'd do it now!

Feel free to PM me if you want any further info/help

about 2 weeks ago they where impossible to get over here. but over the last 10 days there are loads of them ,everybody is selling them and plenty of stock.

Thanks for all your help. I have a colleague in Germany on standby to buy one as I'm over there in December so could pick it up from him. I have also heard lots of reports of people walking into shops and getting them, but I've had no luck so far. I will keep trying through. Still think that this is just a marketing ploy to drive up demand and make it the 'must have' christmas gift, but only time will tell.
