Desperately Need Help

Hello! I'm a cross over from the Wedding and Honeymoon board and I'm in my 10th hour (not quite 11th yet )

I was hoping some of the talented folks over here could lend some advice. I purchased these lenox ornaments this past weekend at one of the outlet malls in my state...

I would like to use them as place cards for my dinner reception at Jiko @ AKL. I've bought 5 different gold pens but the only one that says it will write on ceramic and glass is the painty pen and the ink is less gold and more mud colored!! So, now I'm thinking of going with black (but I was really hoping for gold.) Aside from a gold leafing pen (too big of a tip for me to use, it's a small area to write in) does anyone know what I could use to personalize these?

Any tips or reassurances you can give me??

This may sound silly but did you see if sharpie will work and check if they have gold in a small tipped pen?
