Desperately in Need of Top Hat Groom Ears!

My fiance and I are getting married on Castaway Cay in May, and we REALLY want to wear wedding ears for our civil ceremony in port and for the Magic Kingdom photo shoot. I've been looking online and I can't find any of the top hat style groom ears. DF hates to new tuxedo style ears, so I need to find a pair of the top hat ones! Anyone know where I can find any? At this point, I'll take anything, even used ones! Thank you in advance and I appreciate any help you can give!

Try eBay or try contacting the Disney Florist, even though they are no longer being sold they found a pair for my DH when my sister ordered us a basket from them for our wedding 8.9.10

I bought a pair in the parks and online off Disney as well. Look through all of the ear hats, sometimes they call them by something weird then they don't come up on a search. Good luck!

Thanks- I forgot about the florist! I called as soon as I read that- I tried the Disney website, store, mail order, and florist- no one has them. So far no luck on ebay, amazon, or google. Thanks for the ideas though!

The groom ears top hat has NOT been discontinued, it's just out of stock everywhere right now—even Disneyland DeliverEARS says they don't know when they'll get them back in.

Fortunately, you still have plenty of time, so hang in there and keep checking!

They had a few pairs for sale in the sundries shop at the Grand Floridian a few weeks ago when we were there for our wedding.

I bought the top hat from yourwdwstore. com, they're not affiliated with Disney, but apparently they sell Disney merchandise. So far, I haven't received the hat. I made the purchase on August 9th and when I emailed them yesterday to see what was taking so long, they said they are waiting to get the hat in from their "warehouse". I really hope they come through though...DF hates the new tux hat, and we've really been looking forward to wearing our ears when we get married in January. We went to Downtown Disney's World of Disney store on August 8th and asked an employee where all the top hats were, and he said they were discontinued. I really hope he was wrong. We're going to Disney on Saturday..I will definitely be searching high and low for those ears...I'll let you know what happens. Here's hoping I find some!

I was married in WDW last Sept. My husband and I received a gift basket from friends which had the sequined Bride ears with a veil and the top hat Groom ears which I think you are looking for. I don't think you can just buy them from the florist, but maybe ask about gift baskets that have them in it. If it helps it also had a bottle of champange, champange glasses, assorted spreads and crackers.

We were married August 12th and we had a really hard time finding them. I called the merchandising line while I was down there and they told me that the hats were being phased out. They gave me a list of 4 stores they were showing as having them in stock. I checked them all and was only able to find two at Sandy Cove in the Grand Floridian so we were able to get one.

That being said, we did take a cruise on The Disney Magic for our honeymoon and the cruise ship gift shop had a ton of them.

I find them on eBay off and on. There were two pairs a week ago, so give it a few days and try again!! They will show up again.

Just to echo what everyone else has said, just keep checking. My DF was in the same situation, but then we found and bought a hat on eBay a few weeks ago. It probably was one of the ones mentioned above

This may sound dumb, but also keep in mind the size of your DF's head. My parent's got us the Ears to You gift set from Disney Floral and it included the headband for me and ears hat for DF, but his head was to big, it didn't fit him. I wore my headband the day after our wedding and then again at our local reception/picnic. We ended up using his hat as a card box at the reception. I was sad that it didn't fit him, but then again he does wear an XL size helmet.

I want this version of the top hat as well, I also only like the headband version of the bride ears. I was just planning on getting them in Disney when we are there for our PS... It stinks they are difficult to get, I guess I will start looking online for them.

This is such a shame.

I personally think the tuxedo hat is really ugly (why a tuxedo? the brides one isn't a dress!) and I HATE having something under my chin, so wouldn't expect Jack to put up with it.

Even if they just did a headband with the black ears and then like a little hat between them (like the halloween witch ones) or black ones embroidered with 'Just married' or 'disney groom' or something. I know no ears are attractive on a grown man, but at least give them an alternative to the silly tux ones!

Guess it'll just be me in my bride ones.

This may sound dumb, but also keep in mind the size of your DF's head. My parent's got us the Ears to You gift set from Disney Floral and it included the headband for me and ears hat for DF, but his head was to big, it didn't fit him.

This is true - we just had our wedding in July and found the top hat at the GF but it was too small for his head (my DH doesn't look like a guy with a big head )
If it's that important to you could you make a pair? Buy a cheap top hat and a regular pair of ears from the Disney store, get out the scissors and get a bit crafty?

Thanks for the help everyone! It's true that I could probably make them, but lets face it- I'm lazy Thanks for letting me know they're sized rather small. I think DF tried 'em on during our last trip, but he can't remember either, lol. I tried every idea you wonderful people mentioned so now I guess I just wait and see!

My sister was at the World last week and I asked her to bring be back a set of the old style ears. She got me the new ones. Ugh. I managed to find the bride headband on eBay but the hunt for the top hat is on!
