Desperate Housewives Spoilers Needed

Can anyone post a quick plot update for tonight's show? I was taping and a weather alert ruined it

I'm not good w/ the names, but I'll do my best.

Mrs Solis (the one fooling around w/ the gardener) was almost caught fooling around with him when her hubby came home early, but he didn't suspect anything. Later, she went to his house (he lives w/ his mom) and told him that they needed to fool around somewhere else. As a gift, he gave her a perfect red rose, one he had searched for for days. She realized that he was falling in love with her, and she quickly left his house. Her husband also ended up getting her a gift, a brand new car. She got very affectionate w/ him which her boyfriend ended up seeing.

Meanwhile, Terri Hatcher's character and Edie (Nicolette Sheridan) are vying for the affections of the new guy in the neighborhood. I think he's an investigator of some sort. Anyways, they both make dinner plans w/ him. They end up having a bigger dinner w/ Terri's daughter. Edie tries to get on his good side by playing nice w/ the dog. The dog doesn't seem to like Terri. She tries to get the dog to like her by rubbing gravy on her hands and behind her ear. The dog chokes on her earring, the guy is upset and takes him to the vet. Then Terri realizes that neither her nor Edie will be winning his affections soon, it's obvious he loves his dog.

Also, the nosy neighbor lady finds that Terri has bought a new measuring cup, thinking about the measuring cup that was found in Edie's house when it burned down.

The mom w/ the three bad boys has a heck of a time trying to get them to behave in the car. She screams, yells, and it doesn't help. She thinks they are conspiring to drive her nuts. So following a neighbor's advice, she leaves them at the side of the road and waits around the corner for about 10 seconds. When she comes back, they're gone. Turns out they went inside a lady's house. The lady gets upset w/ the mom and tells her to be a better parent, or work out her issuges before getting the boys back. The lady grabs the mom's arms, to which the boys jump on the lady and push her away from mom to 'save' her. They all jump in the car, and without mom even telling them they buckle up and behave.

Marsha Cross's character and her hubby are going through counseling. The counselor and Marsha talk about how the husband has never shown appreciation for all the things Marsha does. So even though Marsha is trying to be this perfect wife, the husband isn't so perfect either because he doesn't say thank you.

The husband of the woman that killed herself (mary alice i think her name was) is shown wrapping a wooden chest in plastic and duct taping it. No one knows what's in there. But he takes it and dumps it into the lake. Before he does this, he tells Teri Hatcher's character that he is angry that his wife abandoned him and their son, and will never forgive her for that. At the end of the show, they show the chest popping back up out of the water.

Whew, think that was it! Anyone feel free to add on if i missed something.

no, I think you got it all!! I did miss the very end to see what was happening next week, I had to turn it over to Bravo to see who won Celeb poker!! I think I need to get a life!!!

The plumber didn't 'love' his dog, Teri Hatcher saw that he still loved his ex-wife that sounded like she died in the hospital. She made him promise he'd care for the dog so he takes it personally (or so he's acting).

The chest had Teddy Bears on it, like it was a kids toy chest or something. Why don't people weight things like that down???? Sheesh?

Great summary! I did watch tonight after I heard all of the DISers saying what a great show it was. But, unfortunately I did not watch the first one so now I am feeling a bit confused about what the whole beginning was . Why did the house burn down? Who died? Who is the nosy neighbor? What was with the measuring cup?

Can anyone give me a summary of the first episode?

OK a Quick summary. The main ladies were all friends and one of their friends committed suicide out of nowhere. Her voice is the voiceover you hear during the show. She seemingly had the perfect life. At the end of the episode when they were taking her stuff away, they came across a letter to their friend that she apparently received the day she commited suicide. The letter said something like "I know what you did. You make me sick. I'm going to tell what you did."
The house burned down because of Teri Hatcher's character. She thought that Edie (Nicolette Sheridan) was having sex with the guy they both like. So, she snuck in the house and accidentally knocked over a candle which started the fire. In her panic, she accidentally dropped her glass measuring cup. Later, she found out that Edie was having sex with someone else.
The nosy neighbor is the one that foundthe measuring cup in tonight's episode and gave Felicity Huffman the advice to leave her kids on the side of the road.

This has been a real fun show to watch so far! The only thing that "scares me" a little is if they make Teri Hatcher's character too pathetic and too much of a loser.

I saw that they were showing last nights again next Saturday. If anyone hears of them showing the first one again let me know! But at least with the summary I don't feel so lost.

I really love this show, too. Funny, though I don't remember the part about the boys going to a lady's house after their mom drove off. I thought then ended that segment with her standing on the street looking for them. I must have left the room and miss that part.
