Yep, I am having a really, really, hard time seeing the Lynette is a witch argument....
When one has a clueless, spineless, self-centered, immature, 'peter pan' as a husband, and several kids and a household to manage... Yep, that puts one in Lynette's position. That has been clear to me since the very, very, first episode where Tom comes in from 'playing'... and Lynette hands him the latest baby and takes off saying "Sorry, but I haven't even had a chance to pee all day!!!!!" Remember, Lynette, at home, managing EVERYTHING, 24/7, while she finds cellphone snapshots of a half-drunk Tom, holding a huge margarita, and wearing a Sombrero at a Mexican Cantina while on a 'business trip'... She notes that Tom never takes her out to have a great time like that..... Really, do you all not get the true picture??? Since when has Lynette been that much of a witch, like to the other women????
Tom's character, and Lynette's situation, have been clearly written and layed out, and never deviated from since episode one. Every time Lynette has to forget and forgive, yet again... I am like
I can not remember any one scene where Tom ever really did anything for Lynette... actually FOR Lynette... At all... Ever... He has never supported her the way the other men have backed up their wives.
I am remembering when Lynette was battling cancer, and of course was very ill, lost her hair, etc... That episode was all about poor Tom. Lynette had to put on a funky wig, make-up, lingerie... etc... so poor, deprived, Tom could have a good time that night.
If there is going to be a dramatic ending, I wish Tom would end up dead, or alone in some hotel room without either woman, or whatever, after everything he has put Lynette thru... and she rides of into the sunset with a REAL man.
