Any news on the opening of the Coke Store at Disney Springs? All we hear is "summer 2016". If you have any photos from the past week or so please post! I would be so grateful!

Should be within the nest couple weeks. The Coca-Cola logo just went up this week on the windows.

I am currently job hunting in the area and I saw job postings about 2-3 weeks ago so it should be pretty soon.

I was hoping for more of a restaurant like pepsi is doing in nyc. this is just a giant cool zone to me.. I can't see me spending much money but I think coke will run it at a loss to ensure coke products are what disney is selling.

wow Beverly is still around? I remember trying that, man, must be over 10 years ago. all i recall is it tasted like carbonated sand. I haven't been in the Coke area of Epcot since.

Beverly is still in Epcot at Club Cool and now at the Coca-Cola store in Disney Springs. Its a popular carbonated drink in Italy which is why its still in WDW.

I have been really curious as to the reason for the appeal of Coca-Cola decor. I am not meaning to offend anyone - lord knows, there are things that appeal to me that would mind-boggle other people. But I am curious what fascinates people about Coca-Cola. My aunt collects CC things. Why CC and not Pepsi, or Nike, or McD's?

I'm pretty sure McDonald's decor appeals to people, too. Or at least antiques. Not my cup of tea, but it's a thing.

Maybe nostalgia? Coca Cola has been around for a long time. History?

Wow... :D I find it fascinating, what appeals to people and why! I mean, for my part, I am obsessed with a particular computer game and would decorate my whole house in that theme if I could, probably. So I get the overall urge - but I am genuinely interested what about appeals, specifically. I think the PP who said nostalgia probably hit the nail on the head.

Coke Store?? (lol, sorry I had to :-))

I personally love the taste of Coca-Cola and prefer that over any other pop. Sometimes it just hits the spot. I also love the holiday commercials of the polar bears and stuff. I collect the decor for my kitchen. I may be weird but it's just something I like (like my grandma collects any kind of chickens or roosters) lol.

Here's a quick overview video of the inside. The store was pretty fabulous and they have some really cool items for sale there. It's huge!

Coca-Cola has traditionally been on the cutting edge of advertising, and doing so in such a way that has emotional appeal. They created the modern visual of Santa Claus, as well as having colorful, attractive ads going all the way back to the beginning of the 20th century. Nostalgia goes hand in hand with Coca-Cola.

I always enjoy going with someone on their first trip to World of Coke in Atlanta and telling them to "try the Beverly, it tastes delicious" then watching their reaction. What I find amusing is that the Beverly drink was discontinued in Italy (in 2009, according to Coca-Cola), yet it still shows up at World of Coke, Epcot, and other places with Coke tasting stations. It really is a terrible drink, but a must-sample for anyone visiting a Coke tasting station for the first time.

As for why Coca-Cola merchandise has appeal, I think Grand Admiral hit the nail on the head. Coca-Cola has been very clever with their advertising from the very beginning, and made Coke products more than just a drink. They became a part of the pop culture.
