Designated Smoking Areas

Is there anyway to see in advance where DSA's are? I checked the park maps and these don't appear to be listed and the only posts on the forum are several years old. Thanks!!

Thought there was one by the restroom area that is located past potter and before MIB at the studios

It is before the section before you go towards the " bridge"

According to this: https://www.universalorlando.com/Resort-Information/Policies-and-Restrictions.aspx, there's 11 smoking areas at Universal's Islands of Adventure® and 8 at Universal Studios® for our guest's convenience.


You could email Universal, and ask where they are. I remember one near the mist machines near Jurassic water ride.

We never had an issue finding a DSA at USO..felt like we were tripping over them! Haha

Zoomed in one at the bottom show the little place you're looking for. These have been the same smoking areas for as long as I've been going to the parks. I used to live in an entire family of smokers. Now they all vape. I don't do any of it so when I go with friends like I have been recently I don't visit these places. I will say my favorite has always been right next to the mummy. There's good bathrooms right there and it's large and airy enough to allow non smokers to stay away out of it without being away from family.

Also like the one by MIB because no one really knows those bathrooms are there.

I suggest if you have a smart phone to download the Universal app, because it literally points out everything you can ever imagine. Not only it discloses information on the restaurants, rides, show times, hotels, and wait times, but literally maps out everything you can imagine, which is includes bathrooms, smoking areas, lockers (explaining which ones you pay for and which ones you can use for free for the duration of your ride), lost and found, first aid, and ATMs. It even points out "service animal rest areas", which I didn't even know existed at the parks until I got this app. There is even more that goes with the app. It's very useful.
