Designated smoking areas at OKW?

We're going down in 28 days! Staying in a non-smoking GV with two members of the family that are smokers. They insisted we were fine with a n/s unit as they prefer to go outdoors to smoke (helps them cut back if it's a bit inconvenient!). I have a map of OKW but I don't see where the designated smoking areas would be. I remember seeing this at the parks last year so I assumed that the hotel/resorts would have the same policy. Anyone have a clue where I would find a map with the areas marked?

Just ask them to step out the door to the parking lot. I've never seen designated smoking areas at OKW.

I haven't seen any actual designated smoking areas, but I think I remember seeing ashtrays along the deck at HH, overlooking the boat landing. I don't think they would encounter any conflict smoking outdoors in any of the public areas.

I agree with the suggestion of going out front (to the parking lot) of the villa.

Some folks suggest smoking on the balconies, but that is really inconsiderate of other guests in adjacent non-smoking accommodations who would like the full use of their entire villa, including their balcony.

There are two "smoking optional" GVs, both in Building 19 - all the rest are non-smoking. Just ask your guests to go out to the parking area or sidewalk areas to smoke and they won't likely bother anyone. There are also areas at the resort that provide ash trays near the Hospitality House.

Enjoy your stay - the GVs are spectacular.

Last time I was there (2005) usually right outside the building, near the sidewalk going to parking, there were some big pots with sand in them for ash trays.
