We have reservations for 7 nights at Vero next April. In making the reservation, I did not specify a particular room or view. Two questions. First, is it too late to make a request? Secondly, if it is not too late, any suggestions as to what to request? Thanks.

It is not too late to request a specific room..... I made ressies for VWL and forgot I wanted the same room from last year. I e-mailed them the request and they replied in a day ( maybe MS is not too busy?) and they replied they have requested the room but cannot guarranty it.

last year I asked for top floor and recieved it with no problem! Sorry I cannot help you with Vero though we havent stayed there yet!

good luck

My wife and stayed in the main building at Vero last June. We requested an oceanview inn room based on what I read here and recommendations from friends. There are studios in other buildings but my understanding is that the studios are slightly smaller than the Inn Rooms and they are the same cost in terms of points. There are also 1 & 2 bedroom units with views as well. You need to be on the 3rd or 4th floor at the front of the main building to have an oceanview. I haven't stayed in the other buildings but I would imagine you need to be above the second floor and at the front of the building to get a view of the ocean there as well. This is because of the dune and the vegetation in front of the resort. If you are flexible with the size of the room you may have better luck being in at the front of the resort. You said you didn't request a particular room or view, but if you have a reservation confirmation you should be able to tell if what you were assigned as far as room type. If you don't have your confirmation you should be able to tell if you have an oceanview or gardenview based on the number of points you were charged. Get the oceanview on the 3d or 4th floor if at all possible. If it is not available you'll still have a great time. Just make a few extra trips to the Green Cabin Room and sit there to enjoy the view!
