Some of you may have seen my thread covering our home remodel... Well I am stuck and need some ideas.

Our Master bedroom and bath are vaulted...

As is our master bath....

The view when you walk in... head to the left, vanities to the right and that is the tub deck in front...

And further in, as you can see, it is a massive wall. The shower will be between the tub and that wall.........

Soooooooo how in the heck to I light these HUGE walls/ceilings?? And to complicate matters, I really really am a gotta see it person, so I need photo ideas.....

If anyone could suggest lighting webites or anything that could help, I would be greatly thankful!

his suggestion is high hats (sometimes called pot lights). Because he feels that with your ceiling height anything else would not light the space very well. He also feels track lighting would be troublesome in a moisture prone location. There are tons of high hat styles to choose from. I'll look for some web sites and get back to you. If you have any questions for my DH feel free to PM me.

I agree, recessed lighting is a good way to go.

They will look like that. My parents also have vaulted ceilings and have recessed lighting in the ceilings. And they also have a ceiling fan with a lighting fixture, but like Kimbac said, it probably won't put off enough light to fill the whole room. Hope this helps.

Also, if you can afford it or work it into your plans, sky lights are really great for lighting in the day time. My parents have 6 in their house (2 in the livingroom, 2 in their bedroom, and one in each other bedroom), and they NEVER turn a light on in the daytime (unless it's dark and raining).

tricia.
